Is there anything l can do to get rid of the cold sores, they are all over my top lip, they are very sore & l can not even kiss my children!!!!

please stop oral sex, it is the casue of these cold sores.. and yes do not ever kiss you children or they will have stinky willies and vaginas from your disease

sorry to bring bad news. Cold sores are herpes A simplex. Go see a doctor plz.One of my friends had cold sores on his mouth and gave himeself gential herpes. Not good. Plz go to a doctor.

Cold sores r caused by the herpes simplex virus which invades the cells of the epidermis, causing fluid-filled blisters to appear.There r creams u can buy over the counter, just ask ur pharmacist. There r also antiviral creams which can be obtained on prescription or again over the counter l believe; this wo not actually kill the virus, it may however stop it from multiplying. Acyclovir ( Zovirax) is worth trying.

The virus basically lays dormant in ur body, & pops up (have a 'break out') from again from time to time, often when ur ill (have a cold) or stressed, sunshine can also trigger it.

Abreva and Vitamin C work wonders for me. Believe it or not, l get cold sores on the side of my nose. Weird huh?

Oh and do not pick at the scabs once they form. Let them fall off!

The usual management is Zovirax ointment applied locally 5 times a day. It only works if you start treatment early though. You do not need to see a doctor as it is available OTC from the pharmacy.
