l have fats an slime in my stool sometimes its yellow annd greenan some times there blood ive seen several doctorsan all they say is it ibs l get pain my lowerback an the right side of my abdominal l had barium enma and colonoscapy and they cant find nothing and l think there something really wrong

If they have given you a barium enema and a colonosopy and they did not find anything, that is because it most likely is IBS It can do all that to you, so try not to worry about it and l will bet that you're stool will get back to normal. The problem with IBS is that the more a person worries, the worse it gets. Good luck

What is IBS?
Irritable bowel syndrome is a disorder characterized most commonly by cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, & diarrhea. IBS causes a great deal of discomfort & distress, but it does not permanently harm the intestines & does not lead to a serious disease, such as cancer. What r the symptoms of IBS?
Abdominal pain, bloating, & discomfort r the main symptoms of IBS. However, symptoms can vary from person to person. Some people have constipation, which means hard, difficult-to-pass, or infrequent bowel movements. Often these people report straining & cramping when trying to have a bowel movement but cannot eliminate any stool, or they r able to eliminate only a small amount. If they r able to have a bowel movement, there may be mucus in it, which is a fluid that moistens & protect passages in the digestive system. Some people with IBS experience diarrhea, which is frequent, loose, watery, stools. People with diarrhea frequently feel an urgent & uncontrollable need to have a bowel movement. Other people with IBS alternate between constipation & diarrhea. Sometimes people find that their symptoms subside for a few months & then return, while others report a constant worsening of symptoms over time


The yellow, & green, mucus might be due to the occasional diarrhea. And the occasional blood might be from straining too hard when u r constipated.


Normal motility, or movement, may not be present in the colon of a person who has IBS. It can be spasmodic or can even stop working temporarily. Spasms r sudden strong muscle contractions that come & go.

l have terrible spasms of abdominal cramps on my lower left. This is consistent with IBS.

Treatment measures: Avoid stress. drink a lot of water. Eat a lot of vegetales with insoluble fiber to avoid constipation. Eat meals in small portions.Eat less of dairy products to avoid the bloating. Consume less carbonated beverages which can make u gassy. Eat slowly to avoid gas.

In conclusion, u should not worry as all the results from the battery of tests : barium enema & colonoscopy - came back negative.

l had Sigmoidoscopy , G l series, Barium enema & 3 colosnocpy beore the DR diagnosed me with IBS.
