An x-ray is the only way to know for sure, it does sound like a problem to me..go to the Dr

Sounds like snap and pop are clear indications that something broke or tore. You need to get an X-ray and treatment. That much pain and loss of use of your hand should tell you that it is bad.

You could also put a tuning fork to it and see if there is pain! Some doctors have them, some done, but basically if it is fractured, there will be extreme pain in your wrist when the tuning fork is applied near the fracture site from the bones vibrating on each other. If it sounds unpleasant, it is. But it is a pretty good way of assessing to see if there is a fracture.
Ultimately, an X-ray is the most definitive diagnosis.

Most likely if you heard a snap then chances are that your wrist is broken. You should go to ER right away. l have hurt my wrist quite a few times and then l broke it on 9/18 and l knew it was broken. l heard the snap and could not even move it, l was shaky. l am in a cast until 10/31. Go now, get checked out!

age does matter in this!

since she was young.. the growth plate in her foot was bent slightly.

if it was a break i'm sure you'd be in real pain.
and would not be able to type.

there is no way that l know of for you to find this out without the xray

It sounds like you have broken or fractured your wrist. im afraid that there is no possible way of checking without an X-Ray. If you leave it, it will heal incorrectly, leaving deformation and a weak wrist.
