-every time l swallow, no matter what -- unless l am eating or drinking something, my ears ''crack''

-my ears are not red or swollen, nor are the surrounding areas

-i do not have a fever

You may have too much wax in your ear and so you may need your ears syringed. Go see a specialist

You may have a bit of fluid behind your eardrum. Your doctor can administer an injection of celestone if this is the case. Have you had a cold or other minor infection in recent weeks? It is possible you have a minor ear infection also, and are not really aware of it. It could be any number of things, from inner ear troubles, sinus problems, blocked eustachian tubes, etc. You need to see your doctor.

Sounds like u have TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome). The joint is front of ur ear so u think the pain is coming from ur ears. All of ur symptoms r classic signs. The 'cracking' sound is ur jaw bone clicking which usually means the pad ur jaw pivots on is missing & the jaw is moving bone on bone. The pressure is swelling (like arthritis). Pain that spreads to ur temple, neck, head, etc. Make an appointment with ur Dentist, hopefully he is experienced with TMJ, if not have him refer u to one. The longer u go the worse it will be until u can not open ur mouth or if u do it locks up. Have u noticed ur bite is uneven? Have u had molars pulled? A head injury can do it sometimes. If it is not too bad just wearing a bite splint might be all u will have to do.
