There r several ligaments that connect to ur ankle. One of which wraps most the way around the ankle. Those ligaments connect to muscles with stretch to ur toes one way & all the way past ur knee to ur hip the other way.

Get it looked at. If nothing else, u may need crutches for a few days. A ligament injury may not bruise, or swell. It could just be a bruise on the ankle bone itself. Either way, u want to keep weight off it for a few days to prevent further damage. If ur mom wo not take u to get it checked out, talk to the school nurse. Make her force ur mother to have it checked out, since it is her job to make sure u have propper medical care. A ligament problem that goes untreated could lead to many more problems.

Mine went untreated properly, & l ended up needing surgery on my ankle, knee & hip! l still deal with tendonitis pain every single day. This may be simple, but if not treated properly, it could plague u the rest of ur life.
