l have fibromyalgia,and have been using panadeine and tramadol,but the condition seems to be getting worse(pain and fatigue).Other doctors advise against it.Friends go almost hysterical when l mention that l may use it,so l can not make an informed decision.Please answer only if you have had personal experience using the product.

l have RSDS and l take MSIR which is morphine immediate release 30mg and oxycodone 30mg for chronic pain. Both of these together works well. Even though the pain never goes away if you alternate these every few hours you will find relief. l also take tramadol with these. You may want to ask if Lyrica and cymbalta would be helpful with your chronic pain. l take all these throughout the course of the day its alot but, you need to do something to control the pain. l am sorry that you're feeling so awful. l think it is great that you're pro-actively looking for help. Can l ask why some doctors have advised u against it? It is a big step to take, & l would not rush into it, but at the end of the day it is ur decision. If u decide to try it u will want to watch closely for side effects, make sure u have people around u at first start & I'd certainly advise against driving at first (also prepare for probable constipation, sorry!)

l am on a 75mg Fentanyl duragesic patch. It helps, but it is not a miracle cure. Dilaudid & Oxy help me too, but l am not sure about ur pain. Maybe u could look also look into heat/ice, massage, aquatherapy & acupuncture.

1st, let me warn u that u will probably get a response referencing FIBROFIX--that is complete quackery--and the author just proved it to me by sending me a ridiculous email complaining that l am using a made up screen name (are not most screen names made up?) & referenced someone named Robert & his motorcycle.. l do not doubt that she had a problem that involved thick fluids, pain, & fatigue--but it was not REAL FIBROMYALGIA--it was a completely different condition--and she refuses to accept the possibility she was misdiagnosed.

What else have u tried.FMS is a disorder of the central nervous system--you need to regulate the way the brain processes neurotransmitters (serotonin, norepinephrin-possibly dopamine)

l am participating in a research study that focuses on regualting the electrical signals in the brain to better process the transmitters..it is like a pacemaker for the brain-- l am about 25% better-others r reporting better results.my symptoms had been reversed 6 years ago when l had a seizure (the brains electrical system reset itself as a result of the seizure)--but slowly came back.

approved meds that help to regulate the transmitters r Lyrica (anti seizure) & Cymbalta(SNRI-serotonin & norepinephrine)
there has been some reports of success with SSRI-serotonin only meds..

they have not been highly effective --but r the most promising treatments

in FMS--you need to treat the pain coming from the brain to the body..

narcotics do the opposite-treat pain from the body to the brain--and therefore have limited benefit
