l am a high school student with knee pain and usually wear my brace every day.Once a week in gym class, we have to run laps around the parking lot (usually 3-4 laps).For the past two weeks, l have gotten out of running by telling my teacher about my knee problems.l do not think he believes me though.Tomorrow we have to run 3 laps and l physically can not do it with my brace on (the brace slips down when l walk) and l need to wear the brace to relieve pain.My teacher said that he will not accept any excuses tomorrow.l was at the orthopedist on monday but completely forgot to ask for a note for gym.What should l tell my gym teacher so that l do not have to run?I am getting an MRl on Saturday, so should l tell him that? (If l get him to believe me, l will be allowed to walk the 3 laps and still get credit for the day)Or should l just sit out and take the zero and not even bother explaining myself?

All you have to do is go to your schools office and get the fax #. Call the ortho is office and get them to fax an excuse over. The Dr will only do this though if he believes that you cannot take gym. and honestly, your brace is not doing anything for you if it slips while you walk. A brace is for support which means that it is suppose to fit tight on your knee. l think you need a new brace.

haha good old doctor note thing. Tell you p.e. teacher that your getting an MR l on saturday and if still doesnt believe you tell him you will bring a note from the doctors so when you go get your MR l ask your doctor to write you a note for the past days too. And then bring both notes saying that you couldnt participate before and you still cant participate and laugh in his face haha just kidding.
