Its hard to describe this but my left leg and foot have been feeling kind of different for about two weeks now. The only way l can describe it is an almost very very extremely dull tingle or very very very dull ache. Over the past few days it seems to have subsided a bit but l can still somewhat feel it. Also, my left foot seems to be a little bit colder to the touch than my right foot. What could be causing this? What should l do?

There could be a problem with the circulation to that leg (an example only).

l would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

It could be circulation like in the previous answer. It could be neuropathy. You need to get a good check up. You could have a blockage to your leg or a blood clot. You could be a diabetic. You need to go to the Dr and get a good work up. If they give you a name for what you have, make sure they find a reason. Make sure they find the problem causing it.

This is very painful & pain pills do not help. l have had it for over a year & the doctor was slow to diagnose it until l was in critical shape.

Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, is caused by a blood clot in a muscle & can be life-threatening. Symptoms include swelling, pain, & tenderness in the legs. Risk factors include immobility, hormone therapy, & pregnancy.

DVTs can occur anywhere in the body but r most frequently found in the deep veins of the legs, thighs, & pelvis. They may infrequently arise from the upper extremities usually because of trauma, or from an indwelling catheter (tubing) or device.

A deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a condition wherein a blood clot (thrombus) forms in a vein of the deep system.

Thrombophlebitis is a condition in which there is both inflammation & a blood clot in a vein. Thrombophlebitis can occur in either superficial or deep veins. Superficial thrombophlebitis occurs in veins close to the skin surface, & usually causes pain, swelling, & redness in the area of the vein. Superficial thrombophlebitis usually is treated with heat, elevation of the affected leg or arm, & anti–inflammatory medications. A thrombosis in a deep vein is a much more serious problem than one in a superficial vein. The reason for this is that a piece of the clot in deep vein from a DVT can break off & travel through the deep veins back to the heart, & eventually be pumped by the heart into the arteries of the lung. When this happens, the condition is called pulmonary embolism (PE). The blood clot is called an embolus (plural emboli), & the process of breaking off & traveling to the lungs is called embolism.

Narcotics didn’t help my pain. l now take Tizanidine 4mg 5/day & Lyrica Cv 100 mg 3/day. This helps the nerve pain & l can walk some now. l am feeling much better pain wise.
