Not only do l wanna kick puppies, l wanna throw them off a 15 story building and bar-be-que them. It hurts SOOOOO badly. l try pain relievers, and they help, but only for an hour. And l have to wait at least 4 hours between pills. Do you have any sudjetions?

In between pain relievers, try gargling with warm/hot salt water. It is disgusting, but it helps for a little bit while you wait until you can take another pain reliever. If it only lasts an hour, try a different pain reliever.

Hang in there! After about a week, the pain goes down and wo not come back in this magnitude. Whenever you go back and they tighten it, it will hurt a little, but never like this again.

it wont feel good until about a week when your used to them. just try to deal with it with stronger ibuprofen & a good movie! kick back and try to relax. we have all been there (those of us who went through braces that is) just remember the big picture, when its all said and done you will have a million dollar smile!! good luck hun

Hello

You could try Oil of Cloves but you would have to ask your parents and your Dentist and then your parents would have to buy the Clove Oil;

they can buy the clove oil at the supermarket;
the clove oil numbs the gums to relieve pan;
AMBESOL is an over the counter gum releiver;
show this message to your parents; bow wow arf

l have braces too and they do hurt. l wont lie. after about 2 or 3 days the pain wears off slowly but do take pain relievers. sucking on ice cubes also helps with the pain. use orajel numbing cream (buy it at the drugstore) and it helps a little bit with your gums. Eat soft food such as apple sauce, cheese, noodles/pasta, smoothies (yum!), ice cream and soups. braces do hurt but you will have a beautiful smile in the end! good luck! =]

Aww l am sorry :/ l have braces, and l feel your pain.
But continue taking the painkillers for the next couple days and it should start to feel better. You will get used to it soon enough, and it never really hurts like that again. Good luck!
