Good old vaseline young lady. And during this season, usually women that wear lipstick all the time never has chapped lips. People will take their tongue and lick their lips, and any air blowing is what causes it. You could also use Blistex, it works better than a chap stick. But for now use the vaseline, just a thin coat. Best to you young lady, hope you feel better soon.

Winter is coming! l have to keep stuff on them constantly!
The best cure when they get really bad, hands-down, is Neutragena hand cream. It says right on the box that it can also be used for lips, somewhere beneath the anecdote about fishermen who developed the formula. Hmmm.
l also ''layer'' my chapsticks. l find that something like the liquid blistex (in the white & red tube) sinks in & provides relief right away, but tends to evaporate off too quickly. l put a thick vasaline-style, gloss, or waxy chapstick over it to lock in the moisture. Extreme, l know, but we're desperate people!
The saying ''an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'' holds true. Keep ahead of the game by moisturizing lips constantly before the problem is painful.
I've experimented with different lip glosses & chap sticks, & find l like the lip gloss best for relief & longevity. If you're male l am sorry it is not an option for you, but vasaline is a close substitute. l also used to wear loreal lipstick to bed because l hated the way it looked but it stayed on so well & felt so good!
Figure out if ''medicated'' chapsticks do u more good or more harm. My mother swears by them, but they sting my lips & make the problem worse. l do not think everyone reacts well to them.
Finally, hydrate! Drink plenty of water. Tea is also a great option, as is a mixture of juice & water or a lightly flavored water. In theory, water is best, but studies show that people drink much more of it if it is lightly flavored. If you're incredibly behind on hydration, consider chugging some gatorade or pedialyte to get ahead of the game. Moisturize ur skin so u do not lose as much water trying to do it from the inside out. Run a humidifyer in ur house, especially in ur bedroom. Avoid spicy foods because they will burn ur raw lips like mad.
If all else fails, or if you're having other symptoms, see ur doc. Diabetics in particular have this problem & constant thirst/chapped lips can sometimes lead to their diagnosis.
Hope that helped & ur lips r soon rosy smooth!

Mayo Clinic dermatologist Lawrence Gibson, M.D., & colleagues answer select questions from readers. Answer Most people get chapped lips from time to time. Lips may become chapped for various reasons, including:
Exposure to wind, sun, or cold, dry air Breathing with an open mouth Licking ur lips Dehydration Contact with irritants or allergens in cosmetics or skin-care products There is much u can do to treat — & prevent — chapped lips. Consider these tips:
Protect ur lips. Use an oil-based lubricating cream or lip balm containing petrolatum or beeswax. Before going out in cold, dry weather, apply lip cream or balm that contains sunscreen — & then cover ur lips with a scarf. Reapply often while outdoors. Avoid licking ur lips. Saliva evaporates quickly, leaving lips drier than before u licked them. If u tend to lick ur lips, avoid flavored lip balm — which may tempt u to lick ur lips even more. Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids, & moisten the air in ur home with a humidifier. If chapping is severe & does not respond to treatment at home, consult ur doctor. Rarely, persistent chapped lips may indicate an underlying problem.
